Head Coach John Burrell (WCSU)
John Burrell returns for his seventh season as the head Coach of Western Connecticut State University. Burrell enters the 2008 campaign with an overall record of 33-27.
The Colonials have enjoyed unprecedented success since 1999. During that span the team has compiled a 57-25 overall record. Coach Burrell is proud to have been an integral part of each season during this stretch.
Burrell believes his role as mentor to his players supersedes wins and losses. He is proud of the way his players comport themselves on campus and in the community. Dear Parents and Players,
It is with great pleasure that I invite you to the Mustang Youth Football Camp to be held at Immaculate High School Monday, July 21st - July 24th.
The purpose of our non-contact camp is to teach the fundamentals of football regardless of age or ability and have fun with our outstanding staff at I.H.S.. We provide a great atmosphere for learning, character development and enjoying the game of football.
The camp utilizes the newly renovated Mustang Valley Stadium (an artificial field turf surface), as well our spacious natural grass field. Each evening will be split into an offensive and defensive session followed by a touch football game. Our campers will be divided by age and ability to assure maximum attention. Each camper will receive a camp T-shirt. Campers will need cleats, shorts, shirts and a water bottle. No equipment necessary.
Having had a successful playing career (I.H.S. '92, Marist ?96, International ?97-99) and coaching 10 years at Immaculate (5 Division Championships, 2 Conference Finals, 2 State Semifinals), I know what it takes to prepare and be successful while having fun. My staff and I hope we will have the chance to meet you, as I know you will have a great time.
Sincerely,
Roger Hancock I.H.S. Head Football Coach
